Harvey Ovshinsky and his HKO Media team
are known for their ability to identify and communicate the unique
stories and themes within any organization, company, product,
or event, and turn them into personal, compelling, broadcast
quality, content, and thematically-driven stories that inform and
engage.
For example:
- NuStep: Ann Arbor's Q LTD called on HKO to
produce a brand identity and marketing video. The goal? To help visualize and
personalize the experience NuStep's customers have had in transforming their
lives through fitness and exercise. "I don't know which was more effective," says
Derek Mehraban, Q LTD's former Director of Business Development, "the images HKO captured
on tape or the testimonial stories Harvey coaxed from NuStep's clients."
- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan: When the Blues introduced its new Medicare PLUS Blue and BCN Advantage product lines, the HKO team was asked to create videos that would emphasize the company's personalized approach to serving elderly and disabled patients. Each video started with a personal story or reflection by a Blues executive recalling his/her own family's experiences with prescription drug programs.
- When Blue Care Network of Michigan purchased M-CARE, BCN CEO Jeanne Carlson asked HKO Media to produce her video taped message explaining how the move will impact BCN and M-CARE employees.
- Detroit Medical Center: The marketing department wanted
to introduce its new CAMPUS OF BREAKTHROUGHS branding campaign with a new
10-minute video as well as a thirty- and sixty-second commercial produced
by HKO's Harvey
Ovshinsky and Matt Prested. Both the video and
the spots focused on the groundbreaking research the DMC engages in through
its partner, the Wayne State University School of Medicine.
- Chrysler Corporation: Ovshinsky wrote, produced, and directed three documentaries about the history of the Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep brands. More than mere hype pieces, these were thoughtful, artistic stories that described both the extraordinary history of these companies as well as the impact these brands had on automotive history and American culture.
HKO Media's corporate clients have also included the University
of Michigan Health System, Detroit
Edison, SBC
Communications,
Bank One, Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau, Energy Conversion Devices,
and Texaco.
